These little, dense chocolate cone cupcakes are the freaking cutest. But also really charming in a pop-art kind of way. A big part of me wants to blow up and frame every single one of these pictures.
But then I’m worried about what I might be driven to do, if I had to live in that space. Like, bake cupcakes every single day, and possibly buy a softserve machine. (sidenote: does anyone want to go halvsies in a soft-serve machine?)
This is another recipe that I contributed to Kidspot, after I won the Voices of 2014 Food and Wellbeing blogger of the year prize. The competition is running again this year, and as usual there are so many amazing bloggers. If you’re interested in checking out the Aussie talent be sure to go and have a look!
Now back to these cupcakes, aren’t the so adorable they kind of make you sick? They look like a toy soft-serve, like something that you’d buy at a Milk Bar in Pleasantville.
Is it weird that I love that? I want to throw a Stepford Wives themed party, and have all the food looking eerily perfect. Then paint my face, throw on an apron and act like a robot for an hour (or let’s be real, the first 10 minutes).
Anyway, the recipe can be found right here. They’re very easy, and stupidly satisfying to make. The cupcake batter is actually delicious, and the icing is as marshmallowy delicious as you could want it to be.
Hope you’re having a lovely week!
xx Sarah.
You have just blown my mind!!! These are unreal.

YES THESE MAKE ME SICK. THESE ARE TOO CUTE. But not too cute to eat :) Love the fluffy frosting!
These are adorable! And please send me an invite to the Stepford Wives Party! :-)
Wow. These were some of my favorite birthday treats from my childhood! I love this. PS It is also way neater to eat a cupcake out of a cone than in a wrapper. We should all do it more often!
omg omg omg i love these.
So adorable! These remind me of school fete food, which let’s face it is sometimes one of the sweetest memories of childhood! I can see these being a hit even with the ‘grown ups’. We all need some kitsch and cute in our life every now an again!
SO CUUUUTE!! My mom made similar style cupcakes whan I was a kid, but those swirls take the cake!
yes I wanna go to this 50’s party and be a robot too! :P
and also hang up photos of these cupcakes and dive headfirst into the marshmallowy frosting-y goodness!
Totes Adorbs!! Love them!! Imagine them in multi-color swirl, or checkerboard cake! The possibilities are endless! Great job!
