Whats up! It’s a long weekend here in Australia, due to Australia day (see this cake to celebrate).
But, I get that not everyone has the day off today, and that a lot of you are probably sitting at work in dire need of something to look at! I actually had a shocker this weekend. I made a gluten free Angel Food Cake, with lime curd filling, whipped cream and coconut for my lovely sister, but the photos came out TERRIBLY. So I thought I would share these little babies that I’ve been working on with you.
You’ve probably already put this together, but I cook a lot. And I know I’m not alone, because I don’t think you’d be looking at this if you weren’t a food lover! But even if you don’t get into the kitchen that often, trust me you’re going to benefit from these tips. They make my life easier, and I decided to make some cool graphics up to represent the tips that are the most important to me, or that I use the most often (Tip#3). I might start sharing a few of these every week. I hope they help you out! I’d love to hear what you think!
Graphics look awesome! Didn’t know tip number one. Very handy thank you!
I love this! So adorable (just like you!) Sorry your photos sucked on the angel food cake. I hate it when that happens. I hope you share the recipe with us, though!
NAWWWW.
Those pictures are fab! The eggshell tip works every time!
Awesome graphics!! Love tip #3 ;)
heh, i’ve recently started grating frozen sticks of butter into flour (especially for pie crusts). Never tried wine bottle as rolling pin though,.. probably because all my wine bottles are half empty? and the thing about sharp knives is really so true. i just bought my boyfriend a cheap knife sharpener because i almost took a finger off slicing tomatoes last week >.<
Cool graphics!
LOVE these tips!!!
These are rad! I especially love the eggshell graphic–so cute and so useful!
That’s my favourite too!
I used a wine bottle as a rolling pin for years and years and years! Love these graphics
Great tips!
#2 is a definite winner. Grating butter is super efficient and great for texture.
Love that you’ve been working on making graphics. The grating butter is SUCH a good idea – can’t believe I’ve never heard that one before…
May I just say that, although the photo’s may not have turned out, that gluten free angel food cake was absolutely delicious. I may or may not have eaten all the leftovers myself that afternoon (totally did)… Thanks sistah!
P.S. Great tips – I didn’t know about that eggshell one. Handy, thank you!
